Jessyca Reynolds
Tuesday Aug 11, 2020
Tuesday Aug 11, 2020
Jessyca is a recovering bulimic and compulsive overeater. After battling eating disorders for 31 years, being hospitalized multiple times, and trying every diet and/or weight loss gimmick under the sun, she found herself at 309 pounds, her heaviest weight ever.
Chronic depression led Jessyca into almost total isolation, and she rarely left the house. She finally reached a breaking point: her blood pressure was so high that she was in danger of serious health complications, and she could no longer even walk around the house without feeling exhausted. Knowing that she had achieved a measure of success on low carb diets before- as long as she stuck to it, that is- she decided she had to do something to regain her health, and committed to beginning a low carb lifestyle again.
Finding the Ketovangelist website and Facebook page is something Jessyca continues to be thankful for. As she read and researched more, and finally began eating keto, Jessyca learned that this lifestyle was very different than the low carb diets of old. For the first time in her life, she was free from the cravings and food obsessions that had plagued her since age 11. The Ketogenic lifestyle gave her recovery; freeing her from obsessive counting and weighing that goes hand-in-hand with the unhealthy "dieting" mentality. Not only is she down 120 lbs. so far, her blood pressure is also excellent. In addition, she no longer a needs medications for anxiety and bladder disease, and has ceased her weekly migraine shots.
Jessyca spent the last ten months coaching and mentoring friends, family, and members of her community for success on the Ketogenic lifestyle. Her entire family is living keto, and they are happier and healthier than ever before. Jessyca is passionate about sharing her story and teaching others who may benefit from making the jump to a Ketogenic lifestyle. She believes in keeping keto simple, where food can take it's proper place as fuel and not as a burden or an obsession, making this a truly sustainable lifestyle change.

How did a professional comedian become a fitness expert?
Like most natural health experts, T.C. Hale (aka Tony Hale) began his career in stand-up comedy. Touring professionally as a comic for nearly a decade, he never envisioned that he would one day teach the world how to sleep, poop, and even lose weight.
On Valentine’s Day, 2004, Tony lost his voice and it never came back. After twenty-three doctors couldn’t figure out the problem, Tony decided it was time to dig for his own answers. Eight years later, not only did Tony figure out his own issues, he also happened upon hidden information about how to improve countless other health problems.
Though Tony likes to boast about the fact that he holds no legitimate credentials (nor does he believe that we need any more “experts” from the same pool of knowledge already failing so many with health issues), he is greatly respected by his peers in the natural health industry. The biggest manufacturers in the health, fitness and organic products industries send Tony their products every year in hopes of winning one of his GearAwards.
Beyond working with many celebrity clients, Tony is on the executive board of the Coalition For Health Education, a nonprofit association that helps professionals and their clients learn about health through nutrition. Additionally, Tony teaches monthly webinars about nutrition to doctors, nutritionists and other health care professionals from more than thirty-five countries.
You can also find Tony producing documentaries like, WHY AM I SO FAT? A film that teaches the truth about weight loss while showcasing Tony’s client, Gabe Evans, who lost 200 pounds in 9 ½ months by treating Tony’s word as gospel.

Podcast 70: Optimizing a Keto Lifestyle with Danny Vega
Monday Oct 14, 2019
Monday Oct 14, 2019
I had the great opportunity to interview Danny Vega about Optimizing a Keto Lifestyle. Danny and his wife Maura have the blog and podcast the Fat Fueled Family.
Danny grew up in Miami, Florida and has always been interested in nutrition and fitness. Ever since he was a young kid, he wanted to be a “strong man”.
In high school, he was the starting running back for my football team and led the county in rushing yards. He then went on to receive my bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in 2004, where I was a member of the football team and a three-time Dean’s List recipient. After college, he pursued my Master’s of Science in Human Performance from the University of Florida, where he worked with the national championship men’s basketball team, along with women’s basketball, tennis, and golf programs. He then went on to become the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for VCU basketball, helping the Rams win the 2007 conference championship and making it to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
He had been out of collegiate Strength & Conditioning for almost a decade, but I have continued to compete in sports such as Crossfit, powerlifting, half marathons, and now rowing. In June of 2016, he discovered the ketogenic lifestyle and never looked back. He found so many benefits within a week of switching, that I knew this would be my new way of life. Inflammation and injuries from years of playing on turf and beating myself up with heavy lifting were gone. He regained control over my hunger and found mental clarity and an increase in productivity that he had never experienced before. In August of 2017, after over a year of dipping his toes in the water, his two boys joined us.
Desmond, his oldest, felt an immediate increase in energy and improvement in his allergies and asthma. Dean, his youngest, has had astounding improvements in his eczema and mood. Our children are immune to cravings. It has been an amazing thing to see. He thought his kids were “picky” just like most kids supposedly are; keto changed their taste buds and now they crave real, nourishing food like the recipes you will find on this PDF. Best of all, they do not feel restricted in any way!
He understands that transitioning the family can be challenging, Danny and Maura, Danny’s wife, hope his blog help you conveniently transition your entire family to a low carb lifestyle so that you, too, can experience all of the profound benefits we have!
